Harvesting and transporting
We only buy top quality softwood timber - mainly Douglas fir, larch and spruce – that we source from forests within 50 miles of our mill. It comes to us as 50mm to 600mm diameter logs in lengths of 1.65m to 4.2m. Working with trusted haulage partners we move loads of round timber to the mill in a way that minimises traffic congestion and makes sure that lorries are never on the road empty.
